The U.S. Bank Pole Pedal Paddle will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2008.

Teams, pairs, and individual participants are composed of recreational and expert athletes competing from Mt. Bachelor to Les Schwab Amphitheater in Bend, Oregon. The participants alpine ski, cross-country ski, bike, run, canoe/kayak and sprint to the finish! We invite you to take part in the festivities and enjoy Central Oregon.

The Les Schwab Amphitheater area will host a day-long festival of various foods, music, sponsor booths and don't forget, all the cheering and spectating of the PPP participants.



ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSED: The last day to register online was May 10, 2008.

Online registration must be performed by the Team Captain or Individual participant. Online registration ends 11:30pm Saturday May 10.

For mail-in or walk-in registrations, a non-participant can fill out the form, but the waiver must be signed by the participating individual(s). Be sure to include your email address. We'll send an email once we've processed your registration.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Come on out and help, be part of the fun, and get a volunteer t-shirt!  To volunteer, just review the list of volunteer positions, find a position of interest, then call the Volunteer Coordinator at 408-0300 to sign-up. Thanks!

Full Refunds will only be given to those who contact the Race Director on or before May 10, 2008. Cancellations received after this date will have a $10 handling fee deducted from their refund.

COMPETITOR GUIDE
The Team Captain or Individual participant need to download and print the Competitor's Packet. The packet includes detailed maps, bib pick-up information, and tips for a successful race.

BIB PICK-UP
Bib pick-up is May 16th, 11:00am to 8:00pm in Les Schwab Amphitheater (behind the stage). If you miss it, there will be an Emergency Bib Pickup from 6:30am to 7:00am the day of the race at the same location.

REFUND POLICY:
Full Refunds will only be given to those who contact the Race Director before May 10, 2008. Cancellations received after the late entry date (April 19, 2008) will have a $10 handling fee deducted from their refund.

NSF FEE:
Checks returned NSF will be charged $20.00.

PLEASE NOTE

  • Only Individuals may have support crew. Individual support crews are not allowed to drive down the mountain (keep one crew member in town and one at the mountain). No support crew other than team member(s) for Teams or Pairs allowed.
  • Tandem bikes allowed in Tandem Pairs or Open Class categories only.
  • Two-person kayaks allowed in Tandem Pairs or Open Class Teams only. Two-person canoes allowed in all categories (except Individual).
  • ANSI approved helmets are mandatory for the Alpine and Bike legs. You may wear the same helmet for both legs.
  • Approved personal flotation device(s) must be worn on the Canoe/Kayak leg.
  • Bike fairings are allowed in Open-Class Teams only.
  • No oarlocks allowed in any class.
  • The Cross-Country leg may use classic or skating skis.
  • The course may change due to weather and snow conditions.
  • Runner must stay in town for 3-person teams, unless the runner is also the biker.
  • Course times range from 1:45 to over four hours.

ELITE CATEGORY PRIZE
Thanks to U.S. Bank, the total prize purse for the elite category is $3,500. Cash prizes are awarded to the top 3 male and female finishers ($1,000, $500, $250 respectively).

  • Prizes awarded to overall winners in team and pair categories.
  • Prizes awarded to individual winners in each age group.
