The Sunrise to Summit took place on September 3, 2011. MBSEF would like to thank all the participants, volunteers, sponsors, and the City of Bend and its citizens who made this event possible.

Choose your race

  1. Sunrise to Summit-New Course This Year Due To Massive Snow Pack
      10:30 a.m. start from the lodge at West Village Lodge at Mt. Bachelor
      From the start at West Village Lodge, (Elev. 6,350'), participants run up Lower Leeway to the Cone Saddle and then hit the Red Service Road all the way to the top of the Northwest Chair. (Elev. 8,008’). Approximately 2 3/4 miles.  Then hike back down to the Pine Martin Lodge for awards ceremony.  Mt. Bachelor will provide a chairlift ride down from Pine Martin to West Village. 
  2. Bend to Bachelor Duathlon/Relay
      9:30am start at Seven Peaks Elementary School
      Cycle from Seven Peaks Elementary School (Elev. 3,700’) to West Village Lodge, (21 miles) then run to the top of Northwest Chair. You can do this individually or as a relay team.

GETTING BACK DOWN FROM THE SUMMIT:
Mt. Bachelor will have the chairs running for participants.  Pine Marten lift will be running for the ride down.  Runners will hike from the top of Northwest lift to Pine Marten lift.

PACKET PICK-UP: At the Footzone on Wall St., Friday, September 2nd, between Noon-6pm or at West Village Lodge between 9-10 am for the run only and 8-9 am at Seven Peaks School for the Duathlon.  Entry fee includes a T-Shirt.
